After the most recent attack, Alex is approached by an Eastside teenager, Matthew “Matt” Lowenson, who provides information, details of the crimes that no one can possibly know. Working together, Matt and the detective are able to determine Walter’s identity and begin mapping out a case. Momentarily setting his skepticism, as the information builds Alex’s confidence they are on the right track strengthens. What Alex isn't aware of is that Matt is one of the Marked, the most recent of an ancient cadre of individuals who are ‘blessed’ with an erratic knowledge of the future. With help from his mentors Land Bennett and Julia Simpson, Matt is able to tread the fine line between insanity and credibility.
