Description:This short work is an exposé of my thoughts on Leslie Dewart’s philosophical insights as they occurred to me in reading and re-reading his works. I have attempted a re-organization and application of some of Dewart’s ideas to indicate their value within the development of Western philosophy and thus take his thought beyond the context in which he wrote. The main issue I address is his approach to the notion of philosophical dehellenization, which is not a universal philosophical issue, but a particular one of Western philosophy.
