Samson's commentary covers the full period of the war and is divided into five parts: I. Armoured Cars (August-November 1914); II. The "Iron Coast" (November 1914-February 1915); III. The Dardanelles (March-December 1915; IV. The "Ben-My-Chree" (May 1916-January 1917); and V. The North Sea. Illustrated with numerous photographs and three maps. This book is a 1990 reprint of the 1930 classic that covers the author's service throughout the whole of WW1 in the RNAS. It is well illustrated and covers not just the Western Front but also service against the Turks.
