Description:Flores del Desierto es un homenaje a la iraní Soraya Matnucheri, muerta a pedradas, enterrada en una tumba de arena en medio del desierto para ser ajusticiada falsamente. Como parte del Festival Grito de Mujer 2016 con sede en Madrid, hemos querido rendir este año, un homenaje a las mujeres que han muerto víctimas de prácticas tan absurdas como esta: A las muertas de Ciudad Juárez, encontradas en la tierra de un vertedero, plantadas como semillas. A las mujeres de Nigeria, lugar inhóspito, víctimas de ablación y violaciones. A nuestras hermanas musulmanas, víctimas de crímenes de honor de manos de sus propias familias…y si seguimos, hallaremos una larga lista de mujeres que sobreviven en igual o peores condiciones y que se levantan cada día pese a sus circunstancias.
