However, I wanted to take this series in a different direction, so I’ve included plenty of humour and realism. Although the stories are essentially romance, there’s also plenty of mystery and suspense. A lot of work went into plotting, making sure all three books are real page turners.In particular, X is different because most of the sex scenes are described using all the senses apart from sight! The trilogy, as a whole – about three brothers (Max, Sebastian and Zach) – is also different because it works backwards in time. By the end of X, you’ll know who the main villain is. You’ll also know who the brothers end up with. I wrote it this way because, as a reader, I like the certainty of knowing there’ll be a happy ever after for my heroes and heroines. In fact, whenever I read a romance, I always skip to the end to make sure! I think most romance readers are the it’s a case of the journey being more important than the destination. Working backwards also gave me an opportunity to give you glimpses into characters’ lives at different points and from different perspectives. I thought this might be fun.I love a damaged hero, a filthy rich, possessive alpha male with a dark past and a penchant for kinky sex – and that’s exactly what you get in these three brothers. But they’re also a lot deeper than that. Deep down, you’ll find they’re caring, sensitive and fiercely loyal. And not one of my heroes is an actual power-hungry control freak. It’s just not my thing! They usually inherit their wealth, hate their wealth, and end up using it for good (obviously, with the guidance of the heroine).I think you’ll love Zach, the hero in Z. He’s a laid-back, rugged surfer who lives in Newquay, with an intriguing past and a trusty side-kick – a rescue dog called Dennis.I love a feisty heroine. And Ella, Evie and Amy are just that. They all have their own talents and strengths. They also have their own weaknesses, which they work on during the course of their respective stories. But more than anything, they always give their respective heroes more than a run for their money. Part of the fun is seeing a powerful man brought to his knees by a down-to-earth woman!
