Perhaps this is one reason why people (especially women) invest more time, energy, and resources into their emotional security and empowerment than they invest in their physical protection. We can ingest emotional empowerment information in the comfort of our home by reading books, watching videos, or surfing the Internet. If we’re willing to spend a little extra money, we might even get a tropical vacation out of it!
