Description:SINOPSISIn Pennsylvania, 13 years ago, Dan Politano owned and operated seven pizzerias, Malou was a home stay mom, taking care of their three children, cooking for them and keeping the home immaculate. Coming back to their home in Davie, Florida from visiting their oldest son at university, Dan and Malou decide to go to Pahokee. There they find an old Seminole Indian who spends his time carving little amulets for the tourists, and who also paints pictures that supposedly would send the buyer back in time and to a place where they could revisit their past for $5.00. Intrigued, Dan and Malou buy an amulet – a dream catcher – which will catch the bad dreams in the web and let the good dreams enter their minds. They decide to go through the painting that best represents their house thirteen years ago. Before leaving, the old Indian tells them that they need to come back hand-in-hand in seven days; never to lose the dream catcher, and to come back from the same place as the one where they would have landed. Armed of these instructions, Dan and Malou return to Pennsylvania and land in front of a drugstore. They go back to their old house, where they find their three children – Stefano then nine years’ old, Daniel, seven and their little girl, Gaby, only four at the time – and Dan’s cousin, Dante and his friend Heath. These two live with the family in their big house located at the top of a hillside.On the sixth day, Dan decides to go skiing with Dante and Heath as he had done thirteen years previously. During his descent toward the lodge, he loses control and falls over a cliff, which accident lands him in the hospital – in a coma – with a Fractured Shoulder and a few cracked ribs.However, this is the seventh day of their visit of the past, and if they don’t return to Pahokee by midnight on that day, they would be stuck in 2000 and forced to relive the thirteen years that separates them from the present. That night, Malou has a dream whereby she is able to go back to Pahokee. She obtains a reprieve of two days from the old Indian and now has only to figure out how to take Dan out of the hospital and bring him back in front of the drugstore in two days’ time.While in the hospital, a little man, by the name of Damianos, pays them a visit. Dan and Malou soon realize he is the cat – in human form – which they saw sitting on a window sill beside the old Indian in Pahokee. Somehow he entices them to follow their imagination into the realm of their past or future. When Dan and Malou are about to reach the drugstore, Damianos takes Dan first and then Malou to experience their imagination. And then begins an adventure that Dan and Malou will perhaps recall if and when they return to 2013.They land in the forest adjacent to their house, but in the years when it belonged to a woman named Solange. She invites them inside and asked them to find a book – the key that will unlock their future and twelve Herculean tasks, which Dan would have to perform before they would be allowed back to 2013.Worried that they wouldn’t make it in time to return to Pahokee before midnight on the following Tuesday, Solange tells them that time has stopped while they are performing the tasks. Somewhat reassured, Dan and Malou follow Damianos into incredible travels through past experiences. Solange and her husband, Damian, appear to them as ghosts and guardian angels. They are going to watch over the couple through their epic voyage. The first task takes them to St. Mary’s Church in Pahokee, where the priest shows them the effects of being tolerant. Exiting the church, Dan and Malou are faced with acceptance in the forest near the house. Then Damianos takes them through a place where Dan will need patience in accomplishing his task. Next, they are faced with a task that involves determination and compassion to accomplish their goal – they are now in India, driving a couple of bullocks to the market to sell the crop of cassava piled in the back of their cart. Their next stop takes them to the south of France, where they have to resist temptation and self indulgence. Untamable will and endurance is what they need to surmount the storm they experience in a sea near the Anka Krakatoa Volcano – in the middle of the Indonesian Ocean. Damianos then transported them to Paris where they meet Toulouse Lautrec. He teaches them the virtues of humility. Perseverance – the next task – takes the couple to the Andes, where Dan relives some of his youth going up the slopes of Pico Bolivar. Down from the mountain, Damianos takes them to Sinamaica, a water village in Colombia where Dan is taught to trust his fellow man. For his next task, Dan is taken back to his childhood in Italy where he learns forgiveness of one-self.
